[Moccasins] [realia]. [1915-1917]

A pair of moccasins with handmade skin uppers, separate lightweight rawhide soles. Seam on centre-back heel. Tongue and upper of one piece. Separate cuff. European (machine-woven) cotton lining on inside upper only. Coloured red/pink/mauve/blue quill-work design on front of uppers. Collected by Percy Grainger. Grainger's label reads "Originals from which cover design of 'Tribute to Foster' was copied by P.G."
